Mike Dovidio

Vice President, Partner

Mike grew up in the Pocono Mountains of eastern Pennsylvania where his family owned a restaurant his whole life. At a young age, Mike was exposed to the challenges and rewards of building and operating a business. Mike left home at the age of 18 to move to Pittsburgh where he attended college at Duquesne University. Mike graduated in 2016 with a Pharm D and a minor in entrepreneurial studies. The day after graduation, Mike packed everything into a Toyota Corolla and relocated to Tampa Bay, where he’s resided ever since.

Mike started out working as a retail pharmacist at a major chain, but that only lasted for a short while. Mike’s next step was as a pharmacist at a 503A compounding pharmacy. While at the compounding pharmacy, Mike stepped “off the bench” in his first non-verification role of compliance pharmacist. As compliance pharmacist, Mike handled the licensing and applications for the pharmacy’s 45 territories, plus his own 15 state licenses. But that position only lasted for six months as Mike once again was promoted to the pharmacist-in-charge, formally taking over all of the operations of the pharmacy. In a short 18 months to the most senior position of the company, Mike eventually took over as the general manager; adding sales, business development, and marketing to his portfolio of skills.

In 2020, Mike was approached by a tech-based ALF pharmacy who was looking for a manager of pharmacy operations. Shortly thereafter, Mike decided to make the jump to the ALF pharmacy where he managed a number of automated dispensing robots and a full team of pharmacists and technicians. But that wouldn’t last long as a general manager position once again came knocking.

In 2021, Mike took over and launched a national pharmacy chain in the Tampa Bay area as the general manager. Mike’s focus in this position was go-to market strategy and launch, business development, sales, marketing, and project management. Mike stayed in this role for almost two years, before he decided to make the move to launch Burgh2Bay Partners with Dan Fabrizi.

In his free time, you can usually find Mike working on a DIY project. He’s an avid builder of all sorts, a landscaper, a microbrewer, and generally a maker. He enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, his crazy dog, or his lazy cat; cooking, exercising, and traveling.
